Goodbye, Norm.

Senator Norm Colman’s performance has become erratic and abysmal. He seems to have no direction except whichever way the wind is blowing at the time. His prior tepid support for our efforts in Iraq, his vacillation on the immigration bill, lack of certainty about the Bush tax cuts showed him to be generally rudderless.

Now the straw has fallen to break the camel’s back. By joining the Harry Reid caucus and supporting the Webb amendment that would undercut our current strategy that is paying dividends, Coleman is not looking at defeating America’s enemies, but trying to play politics with next year’s election. TvM points out that Coleman is already behind in the money race. The apparent ‘threading of the needle’ hasn’t worked with the previous issues, and his current attempt to undercut what is becoming a successful surge in Iraq is not going to yield any more positive results.

So it’s ‘Bye-bye’ Norm. This is one member of the base who can’t support your re-election. We need a leader who looks to understand situations, not a reed who bends with every breath of the Washington media wind.

Comments:
Coleman's not saying goodbye, you are.

Where you gonna go?

Conservatives have such feckless loyalty

Rat, conservatives have loyalty to their principles, not to the politicians who claim to share them. When the politician shows his disloyalty to conservative principles, conservatives should show their "disloyalty" to him.

The MN GOP better be open to a primary challenger or they better be ready to concede Coleman's seat to the democrat candidate.

mazasapa, you and people that think like you are the only reason liberals win anything. If a conservative candidate isn't lock step in line with your views you reject him. get with the real world.
